Trained in creative writing, journalism, political science,
and history, Tyler LeBlanc is an author, a screenwriter, and
He was born and raised in a tiny English fishing village on
Nova Scotia’s south shore, entirely unaware of his Acadian heritage.
It was only after a chance encounter with an Acadian historian in Cape Breton,
who asked him about his origins, that spurred
him on to research his family history and eventually write Acadian Driftwood.
Tyler's work has been published in This Magazine,
Modern Farmer, Explore, and The Coast, among others.
Acadian Driftwood, published by Goose Lane Editions
in April 2020, is his first book.
